Synopsis

In 1888, young Will Henry finds himself apprenticed to Dr. Warthrop, a New England scientist dedicated to hunting and studying actual monsters. Their latest challenge involves the terrifying Wendigo, a creature that consumes human flesh yet remains eternally starved. Together, they must confront this horrifying entity and attempt to destroy it before it claims more victims.

Richard Yancey (b. 1962), also published as Rick Yancey, is an American novelist known for young adult fiction, including The 5th Wave trilogy and The Monstrumologist series, which won a Michael L. Printz Honor in 2010. He worked for over a decade as a field officer for the Internal Revenue Service before turning to writing full time in 2004, an experience recounted in his memoir Confessions of a Tax Collector. He lives in Gainesville, Florida.
