Tensed, psychological thrilled and suspense. I like the plot although it seems like a typical family/relationship conflict where the narrative could be easily guess and expected. The investigative part giving me fairly much curiosity and nervousness. I like how the author created the characters with different persona and secrets. I never once like any of them (except Rasbach and Jennings) but I think this was the charm of the novel. You tend to judge and hate everyone but still you want to dig and know the real story. The storytelling was okay but at times it feels like the phrasing were too stiff or too straightforward it blinded the emotions the narrative trying to portray. A family tragedy and secrets unfold, it was dramatic and too many coincidences and hidden motives. I like how the story views the plot accordingly to each character, focusing on their mind rambling and personal thoughts. I honestly like how it ends. Terrifying and distressing, and a sudden ending like that (in spite of the fact that I know that the character would be behaving like that) still giving me both chills and satisfaction. Giving this a 3.5 stars.
