Synopsis

After a wartime injury, Laurie Odell convalesces in an English veterans' hospital, where he finds solace and a chaste romance with Andrew, a conscientious objector. His life takes a turn with the reappearance of Ralph Lanyon, a former mentor who introduces Laurie to a circle of gay men. Laurie must then navigate the choice between innocent affection and the complexities of experienced love.
