All stories were set during the surrender day of Japan to the Allies on 15th August 1945 and told through the varied perspectives from an army to a civilian, kids to adults as well animals. Nothing too glory and was more to a haunting tale, of war impacts and conflicts or tragic encounters including despair, hunger and devastation. The writing was grim but engaging with heart-wrenching depth.\n\nMemorable stories: The Whale That Fell In Love With A Submarine (a POV from a whale and it was saddd), The Mother That Turned Into A Kite (so heartbreaking!), The Old She-Wilf And The Little Girl (too sad for the ending), The Cake Tree In The Ruins (too surreal like a fantasy folktale) and My Home Bunker (a boy perspective who needs to hide in a bunker during an air-raid).",4,"none","rv-01kr819mm0r2y4jd5nrh908w8a",[],"2026-05-10T04:11:00.000000Z",{"first":7,"last":7,"prev":7,"next":7},{"path":133,"per_page":134,"next_cursor":7,"prev_cursor":7,"has_more":20},"https:\u002F\u002Fapi.seekquel.app\u002Fapi\u002Fworks\u002F01kr819hwr7vxa9kyze1sr68tt\u002Freviews",20]
