Synopsis

The Bone Farm is a Dean Koontz novella written for audio, set before the events of the Jane Hawk novels. Jane is still an FBI agent in good standing, working alongside her partner Gary Burkett, and the case in front of them is a serial killer the press has nicknamed the Mother Hater.

College student Katherine Haskell never arrives back at school. She is the killer's newest victim, and the only way Jane and Burkett will find her in time is to get inside a mind organised around ritual, obsession and a strange relationship with time itself.

At roughly two hours, this is a compact procedural rather than a full Koontz thriller, and it functions as an origin sketch for a heroine who would later take over five novels. It sits at #0.5 in the Jane Hawk series and was released as a Brilliance Audio original in 2018.
