Wonderful from beginning to ending. Utterly enjoyed this. Susan Abulhawa, once again, shone the light on the lives of Palestinians under apartheid. This story begins with the peaceful life in Beit Darras, continues with its depopulation and carries on with the life in Palestinian camps. The daily lives of Palestinians during Israeli apartheid, marked by sorrow and losses, along with fleeting moments of joy, where life prevails despite everything. A must read for anyone interested in the situation in Palestine, who don't want to get too political or academic, yet want to know what it's like being a Palestinian.
