Ingenious magic system, interesting world-building, clever and deep story, plenty of humour, characters that are a bit more complex than your average fantasy types, what else could I ask? Brent Weeks isn't Steven Erikson or Brandon Sanderson, but he delivers a fantasy novel I really enjoyed. Looking forward to reading the next book of the series.
