Synopsis

Contrary to popular belief, we might be living in the most peaceful era in human history. Steven Pinker challenges the notion that violence is an inherent part of human nature, presenting evidence that it has actually declined over millennia. This book explores the psychological and historical factors that have led to this surprising trend, suggesting that our 'better angels' have indeed begun to prevail.
