While not a bad book, I found this book to be rather dull, a little predictable, and very immature. The writing is the sort of stuff I did when I was fourteen, and the plot is simple and not well thought-out. Kayla, the main character, is a bit of an idiot. I'd recommend this for middle school students, but not kids any older than that.
