Synopsis

Two brothers could not be more different: one is a dedicated artist, the other a disgraced Napoleonic soldier with a taste for trouble. When their wealthy uncle's inheritance is threatened by his scheming housekeeper, the family's loyalties are put to the test. The brothers are drawn into a bitter conflict for the fortune, a struggle that will expose the depths of greed and betrayal in provincial France.
