Synopsis

A CIA agent is captured by a neo-Nazi conspiracy and implanted with a tracking chip, then must go underground and assume a false identity to infiltrate the organization from within while his brother hunts him down — classic Ludlum espionage structure. The plot is driven by a conspiracy to infiltrate and compromise world leaders and institutions, which is why conspiracy and political-thriller fit better than pure crime or adventure. The tone is tense and paranoid throughout, with a slow-burn build toward the reveal of the conspiracy's true scope, hence tense/dark/gritty. No romance or violence is graphic or explicit in the book's prose, and the violence tag is kept low.
