Synopsis

Asya, a documentary filmmaker, and her husband, Manu, have built a life together in a foreign city far from either of their families — and now, half in panic, they set out to buy an apartment and make that life permanent. Between viewings of the "future selves" they might become in each new place and the hours Asya spends filming the regulars of a neighborhood park, the novel watches a young couple assemble a home, a routine, and a sense of belonging out of ordinary days. A quiet, observant story about what makes a family once you have left everyone behind.
