The Amendment
The second book in Kiersten Modglin's Arrangement trilogy, and it starts where the first one's damage settles.
Peter and Ainsley Greenburg's attempt to save their marriage by seeing other people has ended with the worst of what each of them was hiding now known to the other. What follows is the repair: the two of them, in the same house, trying to build something that will hold, on terms neither is willing to state plainly.
Modglin keeps both of them in view, and the tension comes less from what either might do than from how much each is willing to leave unsaid in the interest of keeping the marriage standing. Read The Arrangement first; this book assumes it.
One half of the marriage at the centre of the Arrangement trilogy.
Ainsley's husband, whose secrets surfaced at the end of the first book.
