The funniest book I have read all year and one of the most beautiful coming-of-age stories I've ever read. I couldn't stop laughing even when I was also crying inwardly.
Junior is freaking amazing. The story is semi-autobiographical, so I gather that the author's experience growing up in an Indian reservation is quite accurate, which makes it astonishing and deeply upsetting that their quality of life is so low! The Bureau of Indian Affairs should be ashamed of themselves and actually make an effort to protect Native Americans and increase their quality of life.
