In 1910, Arthur Conan Doyle, a man haunted by the death of his son and drawn to spiritualism, finds himself entangled in a chilling mystery. He is recruited by a secret society to investigate a series of bizarre murders, each victim a self-proclaimed messiah. Doyle must confront his own beliefs and the dark forces at play to uncover the truth behind the six messiahs.
