Terry Pratchett's Wyrd sisters
Stephen Briggs's stage adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters, a Discworld take on Macbeth. King Verence I of Lancre is murdered by his cousin Duke Felmet at his ambitious wife's urging. The king's newborn son and crown pass into the hands of three witches — Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and Magrat Garlick — who give the child to a troupe of travelling actors and hide the crown among their props, trusting that destiny will eventually put things right.
Written for amateur and community theatre, the play follows the same story as the novel, condensed for the stage.
