I should start by saying I discovered the Hulu series before I knew there was a book. However, I don't believe my opinion would be different even then.

This is the first book that I have read that is an exception to my rule- the book is NOT better than the series. The plot was rushed and very brief on situations that warranted further explanation and details were missing. It's written almost like a collection of journal entries (maybe from therapy because holy guacamole the mental health is deplorable).

Character emotion is lacking anything beyond surface level. It feels very one dimensional.
