Take My Hand

In 1973 Montgomery, Alabama, Civil Townsend is a young nurse at a family planning clinic who discovers that two young Black girls are being sterilized without their parents' consent. She decides to take a stand against the clinic and the medical establishment, risking her career and safety to protect the girls. Decades later, the consequences of these events continue to shape the lives of everyone involved.
