Frequently asked questions

  • Does Sunshine have a sequel?

Sunshine is a standalone novel, which is unusual for Robin McKinley, who often writes within established series or shared universes. It offers a complete story arc without requiring further books.

  • How does Sunshine compare to Robin McKinley's other books?

Sunshine stands out from much of McKinley's work due to its contemporary urban fantasy setting and its more mature, darker tone. While her signature lyrical prose is present, the narrative style and character dynamics are a departure from her traditional fairy tale retellings.
