Stars in Jars Strange and Fantastic Stories
Synopsis
Stars in Jars: Strange and Fantastic Stories is a collection of eight speculative short stories written together by Dean Francis Alfar and his daughter Sage Alfar. Spinning fantasy, science fiction, and magical realism — and the wonder that lives in between — the stories are pitched at younger readers without ever talking down to them.
From "Packing for the Moon" to "The Blade of Virtuous Water," the collection showcases the imaginative range of one of the Philippines' foremost speculative-fiction writers alongside his daughter's equally captivating voice. Published by Adarna House, it's a bright, strange, and heartfelt introduction to Philippine speculative fiction for young readers and adults alike.
