Synopsis

Sixteen-year-old Sheel has always known she was different — the daughter of a star and a human. When a mysterious stranger arrives at her family's night market, Sheel is thrust into a perilous quest across two worlds, forced to choose between the life she's built and the destiny she was born for. Shveta Thakrar's debut weaves Hindu mythology, video-game-inspired quests, and a richly imagined celestial realm into a propulsive coming-of-age tale about identity, sacrifice, and the power of choice.
