I really enjoyed this book. Since the author reads the audio version, he adds a bit of "razzle dazzle," which, combined with the book’s inherent humor and light-heartedness, made the topic incredibly digestible and motivated me to actively apply the advice. The subject matter—rumination—is profoundly human and common; as a therapist, I witness it in clients, colleagues, and myself daily. I was particularly impressed to find a book that offers a solution I professionally agree with, especially through the powerful metaphor of framing rumination as “soundtracks.” As a music lover, this concept instantly resonated, making the tools and techniques he suggested intuitive and effective. Ultimately, this book provides clear strategies and genuine hope, making sense even to those who may not currently view their inner dialogue as a literal soundtrack.
