After a brutal battle for survival against the being known as Mother, the story's spider-turned-monster protagonist has to start looking toward the world's next great threat: the Demon Lord. The trouble is that she has grown far too powerful to stay unnoticed any longer, and the attention now closes in from every side, forcing contact with humans she would rather have avoided entirely.

Okina Baba splits volume five between two fronts of a widening war: on one side, an alliance moves against the kingdom of Sariella; on the other, an invasion bears down on the Elf Village. Interwoven with these battles are the parallel storylines of the protagonist's former classmates, who were reincarnated into the same RPG-like world as nobles, soldiers, and other figures of consequence. As alliances shift and political intrigue spreads among humans, demons, and church factions alike, the isekai premise that opened the series keeps widening into something closer to a full-scale conflict.
