Synopsis
Steel Scars is a prequel novella to Red Queen, set before Mare Barrow's story begins. Captain Diana Farley of the Scarlet Guard travels Norta recruiting smugglers, black-market traders, and Red extremists for the rebellion's first strike on the capital. Ordered to return to base, she instead stays in the field and makes a discovery that will shape the resistance: two new recruits with abilities no Red should have, Shade Barrow and his sister Mare.
