This book was enjoyable, I don't think it really lived up to all the hype it has been receiving online though. I enjoyed the plotline and the characters but I did expect more from it.
One thing I did like was the changing of POV's, i found that this allowed for better character development and insight. It allowed you to get to know the characters and their own histories. Sometimes I would forget whose character I was reading from though and then have to go back and check.
I also really liked the little links placed throughout the book to the greater Grishaverse, like Inej's blades and mentions of other characters and themes associated with the shadow and bone trilogy.
Overall, despite the hype, I did enjoy this book and its plotline - it was a good read and I would recommend it to other people.
