Situationship
Teagan has always known what she wants. Her boyfriend has her parents' approval, but he no longer measures up, so she ends things just as summer begins. Then she realizes that being single over the summer is a lot less fun than she expected, and she misses having someone beside her at events.
Heath is the obvious answer. He is handsome, smart and sexy, and he has no interest in a relationship. He and Teagan have known each other for years, and they share a complicated past. Once they set it aside, they see that each of them can get what they are after.
They put it in writing. The contract sets out hookups scheduled in advance, a date for each of them at every event on their social calendars, and no commitment of any kind. It suits them both on paper.
Then feelings start to creep in. If either of them admits to it, the arrangement could fall apart, and the friendship they have kept for so long could go with it.
Situationship is a contemporary romance in the friends-to-lovers mode, with a slow build. It uses fake dates and a written agreement as its setup, and it keeps its attention on the chemistry between two people who swore they would not catch feelings.
A young professional in law school who leaves her boyfriend behind and enters a no-strings arrangement with Heath.
Teagan's longtime friend who isn't relationship material — until the arrangement changes things.
