The novella gives us a great connection between the series giving us more insight. Also, aside from the connection, it introduces us a greater magical world and backstory into these characters, it's mostly a learning experience for us as readers. The novella itself gives us an extension into this world we have already been introduced to, I am so glad Frost Kay gave us another story with these characters.
