Synopsis

On Sinner's Isle, Rosalinda is one of the Majestics, women whose dangerous magic makes them both feared and prized. At eighteen, she's due to be the star attraction of the Offering, an annual fiesta where wealthy men bid on the island's witches. Desperate to escape before the phantoms inside her destroy everything she loves, Rosa's chance arrives when Mariano, the swashbuckling Prince of Pirates, washes ashore after his father's ship is destroyed by the king's fleet, bound to the island by an enchanted chain meant to lead him to his heart's desire. Angela Montoya's YA fantasy pits the two against each other and their shared enemies, wrapping a found-family adventure around a slow-building romance.
