Synopsis

Nikki DiMarco knew life would not be all sunshine and coconuts when she quit her dream job to help her mother serve Filipino food to hungry beachgoers on Maui. She did not expect the island's food truck scene to be quite so eat-or-be-eaten, or the competition to be so attractive.

Callum James, a British food truck owner, parks beside the beach spot Nikki considers hers and starts pulling away her customers. The feud goes public, and the upcoming Maui Food Festival will settle it: the winner keeps the parking spot and the loser moves on.

As the rivalry escalates, Nikki starts to see a sweeter, more protective side of Callum. Simmer Down is a standalone enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy by Sarah Smith.
