Synopsis

In a coastal village in medieval Japan, young Isaku struggles to keep his family alive after his father's disappearance. He learns to navigate the harsh realities of the sea, including the legend of O-fune-sama, which promises bounty from shipwrecks. When a ship finally founders, the villagers celebrate, but its cargo proves to be a terrifying curse that will forever alter their lives.
