Samantha Harvey

Samantha Harvey (b. 1975) is an English novelist from Kent. She studied philosophy at the University of York and the University of Sheffield, and holds a Creative Writing MA from Bath Spa University, where she now teaches. She is the author of six books, including The Wilderness (2009), The Western Wind (2018), and the memoir The Shapeless Unease (2020). Her 2023 novel Orbital, set aboard the International Space Station, won the 2024 Booker Prize. She lives in Bath, England.
