Frequently asked questions

  • Is Shakespeare's Champion part of a series?

This book is the second installment in the Lily Bard Mystery series, following the events of Shakespeare's Landlord. While each book features a self-contained mystery, reading them in order provides a richer understanding of Lily's ongoing personal journey and character development.

  • How does this book compare to Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse series?

Shakespeare's Champion, and the Lily Bard series generally, is a traditional cozy mystery with a focus on small-town intrigue and character-driven investigation, featuring a protagonist with a background in martial arts. It lacks the supernatural elements and more explicit content found in Harris's later Sookie Stackhouse books.
