Synopsis

This book presents a visual dialogue between multidisciplinary artist Moyra Davey and the archives of Peter Hujar, featuring mainly little-known images. Davey responds to Hujar's work with her own photographs, creating an idiosyncratic selection of shared subjects. The side-by-side images explore physicality and sexuality, crystallizing tensions between city and country, human and animal, while highlighting the distinct approaches of each artist.
