Synopsis

Seven years ago, on the eve of her wedding, Lady Jessica Sheffield witnessed a scandalous scene involving the roguish Alistair Caulfield and could never erase it from her memory. She married as expected, and Caulfield fled to the West Indies, where he became a successful shipping merchant. Now a childless widow and the owner of a Jamaican plantation left to her by her late husband, Jessica must sail across the Atlantic aboard Caulfield's own ship — and the seven years of denied desire between them can no longer be denied.
