A girl discovering Jane Austen in her disenchanted 30s is a canon event!
This is a book I didn't know I needed in my life, I've always been judgmental about Jane Austen because she sounded cheesy and too romantic for me (don't judge me for being judgmental without any basis, I grew up, I judge now after gaining knowledge) but lo and behold, this was the loveliest, sweetest, comforting read! In my entire existence, I never thought I'd be transfixed by people visiting each other, comparing each other's wealth, going on walks etc.. but also about friendships, family ties, noble sentiments, yearning (my favorite) all written with a lot of wit and a dash of humor.
I need more Jane Austen in my life now!
