Synopsis

A vampire-soaked spin-off of the Serpent & Dove trilogy, following Célie Tremblay. Months after the events of Gods & Monsters, Célie has become the first woman admitted to the Chasseurs, the kingdom's holy huntsmen, and is engaged to Jean Luc—still reeling from the horrors she survived. When a string of grisly deaths troubles the city of Cesarine, her investigation drags her into a hidden world of the dead: she is taken by Michal Vasiliev, the coldly beautiful king of the vampires, and everything she believed about her world begins to unravel. First in a duology, and it ends on a cliffhanger.
