⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3.5 Stars
There has not been a lot of change from the last book. My main reason for reading this is the characters, I really like them and their interactions. They’re all growing on me.
I definitely liked the first one more, but I really enjoyed the story, and like the past review this rating is completely subjective and based on my mood and feelings for these characters.
- The repetitive words and sentences are still there, maybe less but I can spot them.
- I thought Oleander was gonna come clean with all the guys, since last book events, but we were back at the beginning with Oli hiding the truth from her bonds. So there’s not a lot of plot development in this one and it gets a bit boring at times, and no more worldbuilding, so all the questions I had before are still here.
- I like Gabe and Atlas and the little group of friends Oli has, but I would like more balanced screen time for all of the bonds, even for Nox.
- I thought we were going to have one chapter from each bond's pov but no.
- It’s a bit slower in the middle and I did not feel like there was a climax at the end, it just ended.
I love Brutus and Augustine. I want my own shadow pets please.
