Synopsis

Sail is a suspenseful contemporary drama by James Patterson co-written with Howard Roughan. The story follows Anne Dunne, a widow who sets sail on a yacht named Sail with her three children — Carly, Toby, and Jamie — in an attempt to heal their fractured bond before she marries again. Each child carries its own burden: Carly is reeling from the fallout of a reckless affair; Toby has recently emerged from rehab for drug use; and Jamie hides her own struggles behind a talented artistic facade. As they navigate the Bahamas, Anne's hope for family unity is threatened by an escalating danger — a stalker who becomes obsessed with them and begins to manipulate events around their voyage. Told through multiple points of view across several short chapters, Sail blends Patterson's signature suspense structure with a deeply personal story about grief, addiction, and redemption.
