Synopsis

A beautiful story about shared self-discovery and friendship follows an unlikely group of students who decide to defy the odds and pursue a seemingly impossible goal together. Disillusioned former track star Kakeru Kurahara finds his path when a mysterious fellow student, Haiji Kiyose, persuades him to join a rundown dormitory. There, Kiyose reveals his grand plan: to assemble a ten-man team to compete in the legendary Hakone Ekiden, a college marathon relay race. Despite most of the residents being unathletic and uninterested, Kiyose's enthusiasm slowly wins them over.
