The pacing was easily the strongest part. Once things started happening, it was hard not to keep reading because every chapter pushed the story forward. It definitely had my heart racing more than once.
Where it lost me was the backstory. I wanted a bit more depth and connection to the characters, so some of the emotional moments didn’t land as strongly as they could have. I enjoyed the ride, but by the end I felt like I wanted just a little more from it.
Still a solid thriller, and I’d absolutely give another Noelle W. Ihli book a go.
