Synopsis

Pinkerton, a Great Dane, is a very good dog, but he has one problem: he's afraid of the dark. His owner, Rose, tries everything to help him overcome his fear, from nightlights to lullabies. When a new baby arrives, Pinkerton's fear becomes a bigger issue, leading to a humorous and heartwarming adventure.

Steven Kellogg is an author and illustrator who has contributed 90 books for children. He is best known for writing books about animals, which he credits his grandmother for. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut to Robert E. and Hilma Marie (Johnson) Kellogg, and his love of writing and illustrating earned him a place at the Rhode Island School of Design. From there he won a fellowship to work and study in Florence, Italy for his senior year. Upon returning to the U.S., he attended grad school...
