Maria Seidemann war eine deutsche Schriftstellerin. Nach ihrer Ausbildung zur Archivarin und einem Geschichtsstudium arbeitete sie zunächst als Dozentin und Archivarin, bevor sie sich 1974 als freie Autorin in Potsdam niederließ. Ihr literarisches Werk umfasst Romane, Erzählungen, Hörspiele, Drehbücher sowie Kinder- und Jugendbücher.
