I haven't read any reviews of the book yet, but I can imagine that there will be people criticising the implausibility of the whole story, the cheesy choice to have it narrated by a five year old who's inner voice sounds often too much like an adult's, the moral issues that come up... Although I wouldn't have disagreed totally, I enjoyed the Room very much; it begins with a clever "what if", it builds an original world, it handles suspense greatly, it tackles difficult issues in an insightful way, and it's got humour.
