Synopsis

In the autumn of 1975, playwright Sam Shepard joined Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, a traveling gypsy circus of musicians and artists touring the Northeast. Tasked with writing a surreal film script, Shepard instead kept an impressionistic logbook of his experiences on the road. This account, illuminated by candid photographs, captures the camaraderie, isolation, and mayhem of the tour, offering a unique glimpse into Dylan's talent and vision.
