Synopsis

Eleanor Folley has built a quiet life working on her father's cabinet of curiosities at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris, but her past won't stay buried. Virgil Mallory, an agent of the secretive organization Mistral, seeks her out over her old ties to the roguish archaeologist Christian Hubert — and over a set of artifacts known as the Rings of Anubis, which are bound up with the mystery of her mother's disappearance in Egypt years before.

Recruited into Mistral as a consultant, Eleanor and Mallory follow the trail of the rings across a steampunk-flavored Victorian world, uncovering a conspiracy that reaches back into ancient Egyptian history and forward into a very present danger.

Rings of Anubis collects the first two Folley & Mallory novellas, Gold & Glass and Silver & Steam, as a single volume, opening a longer adventure series that continued with further Folley & Mallory books through the 2010s.
