Revival

For one day in rural central Wisconsin, the dead came back to life, and not as monsters. The revivers look, sound, and act exactly like they did before they died, which makes what happened to them, and how they're still walking around, far more unsettling than any straightforward zombie story.

Officer Dana Cypress now has to hold her town together against media scrutiny, a government quarantine, and religious zealots convinced the revival is a sign, all while investigating a brutal murder that keeps circling back to her own revived sister, Em. In a town where nobody, living or revived, is above suspicion, Dana's case becomes a lens on grief, faith, and what people will do to protect the family they thought they'd lost for good.

Tim Seeley and Mike Norton's Revival grounds its supernatural premise in small-town police procedural, using the reanimated dead to dig into very human fault lines.
