Revelle

Charmant is an island built on illusion. Luxe Revelle, the show's star, knows exactly how thin the glamour is: Prohibition is strangling their trade, the champagne is watered down and the costumes are patched.

When the heir to Charmant's wealthiest family offers to save her family's livelihood in exchange for posing as his sweetheart while he runs for mayor, Luxe accepts. The arrangement puts her at the centre of the island's politics, its old grudges and its buried crimes — and next to Jamison Port, a newcomer with fragments of a memory of a place he has never been.

Revelle is Lyssa Mia Smith's debut, a standalone young-adult fantasy told from two points of view, blending 1920s glitter with a mystery about what the island's magic actually costs.
