Synopsis
Ghada Karmi, exiled from Palestine in 1948 and raised in Britain, returns to her homeland hoping to contribute to peace and a Palestinian state. Working within the Palestinian Authority, she discovers her family home occupied and the West Bank militarized. Her experiences with locals, politicians, and soldiers force her to confront the diaspora's role and the true possibility of return.
