Synopsis

Nola returns to Bright Harbor, Maine, after a bad breakup, wanting nothing to do with Christmas and even less to do with Caleb, the boy who broke her heart and never left town. The plan is to get through December unseen.

Instead, the local mailman hands her a letter from a stranger who hates the season as much as she does. She writes back. Signed 'Ho Ho No' and 'Resting Scrooge Face', the correspondence turns from commiseration to flirtation — and the reader knows, long before Nola does, exactly whose handwriting she is waiting for.

Meghan Quinn keeps this one short and light: a hometown holiday novella built on anonymous letters and mistaken identity, closed-door on the page and warm at the finish.
