Requiem for a Dream

This novel follows four characters in Coney Island whose dreams of happiness and success spiral into addiction and despair. Harry, Marion, Tyrone, and Ethel each chase their own version of the American Dream, only to find themselves trapped in a cycle of drug use and desperation. Their lives become a stark portrayal of how addiction can consume individuals and destroy their futures.
